Art Intro, 200X

Christ
No, it's not about Art per se. About art and theatre, art and film.

The whole design of this class is to compare and to see how one form is used in another forms (Fine Art and Films). I doupt that one can understand film grammar without understanding of principles of art composition. Fine Art is the "silent" DRAMA.

Each great painting has its own secret.

And I haven't even touched the photography!

Summary

Periods and Styles. Society (its historical forms) and Technology. Politics and State.

Questions

Religion, Phylosophy and Art. What is "Western civilization"? Rome and Byzantin. West and East. Individualism. North and South. National cultures.

What are the pix for, Anatoly? Rome

Notes

1. Egypt, 2. Romans and the Greeks -- One God or Many? Judaism and Islam.

What is "Classic"? Harmony could be found in Color, masses, light, lines, shapes... or all together, if this is a masterpiece. That is what the pix are for! Look how Mattisse (Blue Nude) show the fluidity of human forms; he tries to do what film does -- to show the motion!

Christianity and "Dark Ages."
