Politics in US are going through serious "perestroyka" (long overdue), "direct democracy" is replacing "party politics": that's why Democracts went with Obama, not Hillary (couldn't ignore the electorate). "Orange Revolution" in USA? ...
Will the two-party system be there for the next elections? I'm not sure.
Bush killed Republican Party, which betrayed McCain 8 years ago, and MM's joke(r) is on them.
I'm closing my libertarian support for Obama group -- the elections are over; Obama doesn't need any support, when McCain votes for Obama.

How to read news?

Borrowing Costs Increase Sharply For Russian Firms -- today's WSJ. "Зарубежные инвесторы продолжают выводить деньги с российского рынка � за прошедшую неделю отток превысил $66 млн." -- that's nothing, but what about Kremlin's projections that Moscow will become another financial center?
Well, who remembers it?
Read not what took place, but didn't.
Read not what took place today, but will happend tomorrow.
What UE will do?
Nothing?
Read what business to do -- that's matter.
Could kommersant.ru be a business paper without reflecting on Russian politics? Read the first sentence again -- foreign investors? What about the Russian investors?
"Russia and SNG" -- why not just Russia?
God help Russian businessmen, to understand "news in Russian"!

Not only Kennedy but Carter (Afghanistan and Olympics 1980) as well: democrats believe that rights of individual are superior to state's right. New Russia is a fascist state (Italy circa 1930s) and Republican Bush named Putin a friend not by accident (state-to-state relations).
Obama's new Vice President Biden wrote (I think) into his final speech (8.28.08) the line about confrontation with Russia. From now on it is the USA foreign policy for next 4 years.

С толпой, разумеется, манипулируемой сетевыми фантомами поярче и позаметнее, но точно так же, как и сама толпа, исповедующими пресловутое �право на бесчестье�.
