British Company to Produce Documentary Film on Ethiopia
A London-based film company, Speakit Film Production, announced on Wednesday that it would make a documentary film featuring Ethiopia’s prospects in globalization.
Speaking at a press conference at the UNECA, representatives of the company said the film would be based on the country’s natural resources and cultural values “to indicate the roles developing countries could play in the global trade.”
Film shooting will take six months and will be conducted in coffee-growing areas in Southern Ethiopia.
According to Speakit, Ethiopia is selected to be exemplary for African countries in the international forum.
The documentary aims at changing the stigma attached to Africa by the western media.
